Natural Cure Treatment for Hemorrhoids or Haemorrhoids
a sporty guy and was shocked to discover I developed
hemorrhoids (which I "affectionately" refer to as hemmies), but I guess that's
normal considering I had just ridden some 40km on a bike with a hard seat, after
a long period of not riding a bike. I bled with my stool and thought nothing of
it, but eventually learned that the bruising caused internal inflammation in an
area where there is nowhere to expand. It healed very slowly and eventually
formed a permanent inflammation.
Dreading the thought of parts of my flesh being ripped out
by modern butchers, or the potential costs, I resorted to my usual own research
and found a natural cure and remedy for hemorrhoids.
Causes of hemorrhoids
The intestines are like complex, intertwined piping
confined within a limited space, full of pockets storing remains of food, the
nutrients of which are leached and fed into the bloodstream. But you can stretch
them out to as much as
9 metres or 30 ft,
ten times longer than the human body, the small intestines enough to cover
an entire
tennis court when sliced open.
Under such conditions you can imagine things can get
complicated if an internal inflammation occurs.
Inflammation can occur for numerous reasons:
-
by sitting on a hard seat, as I mentioned, or getting hit
in that area. Inflammation is caused when your body tries to heal an injury,
bringing in blood and white blood cells but stifling valuable blood flow in the
process, which is why cold compresses are applied to swollen injuries.
-
sitting on cold seats, like benches, for long periods
-
eating lots of meat, especially beef or pork. They clog
the pockets and cause lots of damage (more on that below)
-
age and general degradation and weakening of flesh, which
can be accelerated or slowed through diet, or toxins absorbed in general, as
they tend to collect in these pockets (bleeding back into the system along with
consumable remnants of food).
-
diarrhoea or constipation, a low fibre diet, pregnancy, genetics, or increased intra-abdominal pressure. Other factors include obesity and sitting for long periods of time.
You can see how it is a rather complex issue, and an
important organ of the body, which would be good to understand better.
Natural cure and remedy for hemorrhoids
The first thing you want to do is settle the inflammation,
as soon as possible.
My number one favourite cure is
oak bark:
-
be kind to a tree and shave off dry excess.
-
throw into pot of water and bring to hot hot finger
touch. Like ginger, garlic and so forth, its medicinal qualities get destroyed
after a certain temperature.
-
let it steep and slowly cool to a temperature you can
handle
-
pour it into a large, shallow pan so that you can soak,
as one friend "affectionately" referred to it, your cauliflower. You can tilt up
one side to concentrate the juice in a corner, to make sure it's soaking, while
you sit your arse in the concoction. Throw a thin blanket around your bent knees
for privacy and watch the news for half an hour. The pan cools it down somewhat
and I like to start at as warm as I can, for maximum effect.
It seems to soak into the intestines and cause them to
contract, freeing up blood flow for faster healing. You can take
anti-inflammitants like ibuprofen,
for more instant effect. Consuming larger amounts of
cayenne pepper is also supposed to
help. In Europe
Detralex is available, which I found can greatly reduce swelling
over a few days.
Cooling down the
area, such as by assuming the ostrich position, but naked and exposed to colder
air, helps a lot. One person suggested filling up a surgical glove with water
and breaking off the frozen fingers. A cold shower head can also provide great
relief. I'm told Preparation H also
works.
If you find your predicament is so extreme that you ripped
your butt hole, which can be constantly painful and very slow healing, I find a
bit of honey or
hemp oil (an
amazing cure-all) is soothing and helps it heal faster.
Now that you know what can cause and help get rid of
hemorrhoids, more importantly you want to know how to avoid it, getting rid of
it over the long term (ten years later and I only get occasional mild
reoccurrences).
How to prevent and avoid hemorrhoids
As mentioned before, it is complex piping, and for pipes to
function properly they need to be cleaned occasionally, not banged into,
preferably only passing material that keeps it strong, not toxic substances
which weaken it.
Beef and
pork
are big culprits. One tends to get lodged in the pockets while the other creates
a thin, inner lining, preventing valuable nutrients from feeding into your
bloodstream. The standard western diet is rather atrocious to the human body.
Maybe because it makes more people sick so they can deplete whatever reserves
they have to maintain their bodies through big pharma. Just a big, money-making
machine that sick human is.
Not only are
raw vegetables full of valuable nutrients,
and ALIVE, they pass freely through your system and help scoop up whatever you
may have caked up in thre over your lifetime. The occasional
bowel cleanse (such as with a
B&P
shake) is definitely highly
recommended. Eat lots of
fibrous food, or try some of my
great recipes.
Coffee may also help break things up and move them along, although
its abrasive qualities could be a minus.
Stay away from inflamitants, such as
table salt,
hot green peppers
and
red meat.
Lots can be found on the internet concerning an anti-inflammatory
diet, which suggests salmon, kelp and extra virgin olive oil while avoiding
sugar and trans fats (fuller list in previous link).
Basically you want your poop nice and soft, preferably full
of nutrients and lacking toxins. Toxins soak into your beef-packed pockets and
slowly pollute your system over the years, leading to all sorts of diseases
elsewhere. The principle of
fasting,
of which a bowel cleanse is only a part (although a painless bowel cleanse by
itself does great good – but not during inflammation!), is to cleanse your
body of all the toxins it constantly accumulates, whether from the car exhaust
that you breath or any crap that you ingest. These toxins get lodged or
circulate throughout your system, mutating cells into cancer and all sorts of
other horrible diseases along the way. So just because you can't see it or take
it for granted as your faithful garbage man, the intestines serve a very
important function and should be fully respected.
One important ingredient to help with nice consistency poo
are
probiotics. They introduce
healthy bacteria into your system to help it break down to finer particles which
your blood is able to absorb and circulate throughout and feed your system.
Probiotics such as kefir milk or
yoghurt. A couple of the latter a
day, even if speckled with delicious strawberries, helps greatly with regulating
texture. Whether you have diarrhea or constipation, you can regulate the
consistency in these ways. Keep a sharp eye for any problems and ask yourself
what you must have consumed to cause that. I had horrible constipation problems
when I tried Kombucha, even though the effect was supposed to be the opposite.
Drinking lots of
water obviously helps, because anything you add water to usually gets mushy.
Dehydration is actually a big cause of many diseases, while your body's immune
system is strong if well hydrated. You are composed of some 85% water and
anything short of a healthy level can lead to problems (you should drink at
least eight 8-ounces glasses, or 1.9 litres, of water per day - more in
temperate climates). Alcohol, on the other hand, will dehydrate you, so make sure to drink ample
water whenever boozin' it up.
Other common sense approaches is to
chew your food properly. Imagine munching it down to the mush you
want to come out on the other end. Don't glob down massive chunks of steak
without properly breaking them down, and eat your steak with lots of greens. Try
my famous
salad dressing and in not too long your tastebuds will glean
themselves from meat and look forward to juicy, living vegetables.
Emergency anti-inflammation procedure
As you can imagine, one can only approach solving this
problem with a sense of humour. I might be screaming with pain but have to laugh
in the preposterous predicaments, let alone positions I find myself in.
The following procedure works well for me whenever I have a
problem passing stool / taking a decent crap, and suffer from pain and
inflammation:
-
when your eyes open in the morning because your turtle
head is starting to poke out, go to the can (toilet), sit in the squat
position (reasons explained right) and relieve yourself as much as possible. During this
time your cauliflower might start protuding out. Relax and don't push too hard.
Push in more with your stomach, as it applies internal pressure, instead of
pressure around the knotted-up end. Try combinations of internal and pipe-end
pressure until you think you got what you could. If it is very inflamed and it
seems it's stuck inside, we'll get rid of that in the next few steps.
-
once you feel you got out what you could, take a
showerhead and spray the area. A nice jet stream works. If you do not have one
of those Asian toilets with the handy water hose next to it, you can try it in
shower or bathtub. Spray it on the area, which cools it and loosens it up as
well. I find I can get a bit more with this. And since you're spraying, spare
the toilet paper. The area is already very sensitive and this harsh scraping can
lead to unnecessary bleeding. It's healthier for you anyway and you can help
save the world's forests, which provide us with the air we breath (and clean the
air, and provide much more in their regular habitat).
-
stand up, knees slightly bent, still spraying and trying
to press out what's left.
-
sometimes I'll dive back into a squat if I feel something
is loosening up. Basically your pipes are all knotted up and the poo, whether
total diarrhea or bullet constipation (like when I tried my first volcanic ash
bowel cleanse but neglected the necessary psyllium husk), moving your pipes
around helps slide things along. Don't forget that there is also a tendon loop
which squeezes your pipes shut while in the standing position. That is why a
squatting position is much healthier, so that you can fully open the ending.
Otherwise it is partially closed when in the normal sitting position, meaning
that some stuff gets lodged in there and can stay a very long time, leading to
colon cancer.
-
once you're done with that round and cleaned up any
potential poop sprayage, hobble to your bed, assume the ostrich position (on
your knees, head in pillow) and cool down your but with a fan. The water
evaporating adds a wonderful cooling effect, and a squirt spray bottle handy can
be welcoming. You can wobble your but from side to side to help the intestines
reconfigure inside. In this position you may also discover internal muscles you
can use to suck your cauli back in.
-
once it's cooled and shrunk down to a level you can
handle (yes, I have answered emails in the ostrich position – or lied on back
with laptop on stomach, butt raised slightly on pillow with fan blowing fiercely
while I work, water spray bottle handy, occasionally moving hips from side to
side or poking my fingers into my abdomen to help with reconfiguration), resume
your daily chores, try not to aggravate it (for example, if cauli is inflamed
and protruding, even walking is a problem, which can be a great menace to
waiters and waitresses) and apply any other procedure you find helpful.
-
chances are you may have to repeat the procedure, but for
later releases I try to squat for as little time as possible, shooting for a
quick release and then resume the almost standing position to get out the rest.
It takes three to four days for food to go through your system, so it’s a long choochoo poopoo train that can build up and get crammed while you sleep.
Especially if you eat a lot before sleeping, which is also not healthy for you.
Heck, if I'm in real pain I'll even eat less just to not to aggravate it further
and help it to heal faster. You can therefore expect that, over the morning, the
train will have shifted along somewhat and that it may take a few visits to the
train station before you can sigh your first breath of relief for the day.

Other Hemorrhoid Tips I've Collected so Far
Fiber diet for hemorrhoids.
Triphala, an herbal mixture from the ayurvedic tradition,
is another excellent bowel regulator. You can buy it in capsules in health food
stores. Follow the dosage on the label.
Ground flax, not whole flax seeds, to help with
flushing/cleansing process.
Dietary supplements can help treat and prevent many
complications of hemorrhoids, and natural botanicals such as Butchers Broom,
Horse-chestnut, Hem-eez and bioflavonoids can be an effective addition to
hemorrhoid treatment.
Butcher's Broom extract, or Ruscus aculeatus, contains
ruscogenins that have anti-inflammatory and vasoconstrictor effects that help
tighten and strengthen veins. Butcher's Broom has traditionally been used to
treat venous problems including hemorrhoids and varicose veins.
Horse-chestnut extract, or Aesculus hippocastanum, contains a
saponin known as aescin, that has anti-inflammatory, anti-edema, and venotonic
actions. Aescin improves tone in vein walls, thereby strengthening the support
structure of the vein. Double blind studies have shown that supplementation with
horse-chestnut helps relieve the pain and swelling associated with chronic
venous insufficiency.
shit whenever feel, don’t strain (push belly in)
Decrease or eliminate other foods that cause constipation,
including animal protein, processed and refined foods, sugar, ice cream, fried
foods, cheeses, peanuts, junk foods and salt.

Hemorrhoids Comments from Contributors
I am quite young (30) and i've realize two weeks ago that
i've got hemos. at first I tought it was just some but hitching...then I
realize it was a bit more serious...
I got really freaked out when I realized what it was
because it was not very nice looking...and because I had read that it that was
an old but sickness.
anyway..after not noticing for 2 weeks or more.. I
realized.. and started to read about it...I got myself some cream.. and cut on
all bad food...started to eat lots of fibers and veggies and fruits..and
planning on continuing. now it seems to go better...to heal... and I am
wondering if it's likely to come back if I start eating meat again and if I
forget to eat veggies for a day or two.
what do you think?
when also do you think is reasonable to stop the cream and
stuff?
can that stuff come back if I stop applying the cream?
(stupid question but still a question)
I know you're not a doctor but you sound..experienced.
I also have a question that you might be able to answer...
I heard that periods and hemos can be related? how is that happening?
thanks for your help and for your page.
another butt
I guess you're talking about
hemeroids? Yah it can come back maybe. It seems to me that the intestines get
weak and inflated or something. Just analyse what causes it and try to avoid
that. I find this detralex thing works real good cause it tightens it up in
there. Once it gets loose and inflated, it has no where to expand, then the crap
has a hard time getting out, and it causes more pressure. Veggies are easier to
get out. So just keep your attention on it. Sometimes for months there's no
problem. So just keep focusing on it, and when it does come back, you got your
knowledge how to deal with it. Its not the end of the world, but it can get
painful when it starts inflating too much, so its good to keep all your tools
etc. handy.k
You explained how to create the concoction, but I did not
see an explanation on how to actually soak it.
Just sit on a pot of the stuff?
It seems awkward.
Yup, totally weird. When a female
friend came over to watch flicks with me I'd wrap a blanket around me. I used a
very shallow pail which I used to use for kitty litter (and later for big salads
at parties - but don't tell anyone) and tilted it at an angle for maximum
soaking and minimum juice requirement, to make the potion more potent and waste
less of the oak bark.
and, what is wrong with Preperation H?
Doesn’t that work too? I
don’t see any side effects of using the ointment.
maybe I'm just anal but I cant
stand the thought of sticking some plastic tube up my butt and injecting some
cream. I was asking people around, was suggested this (in Czech it's easy to get
various oak bark ointments and raw bark for this purpose) and seemed to work
well. I also prefer natural alternatives, if possible. Never tried H.
Well, my Dad told me it works well for him, and my wife had
to use it when she got hemorrhoids when she was pregnant and it worked. I am
trying it right now. I don’t insert it, I just put the cream on the outside, as
I have external ones. I have had some bleeding too. Fun. Do you have left over
scarring, piles, etc? My dad said he still has them and they come and go, but
both my brother and Dad told me they have piles that never went away. I am
experiencing hemmorhoids for the first time, and I am 36. I really laughed at
your story about the fasting and the spicy soup, etc. Man, that was hilarious.
BUT, I am sure glad you gave me the warning. LOL
I don't think I have any permanent
scarring (didn't ask a doctor to look inside) but it does come and go. The
detralex seems to help the internals a lot.
Glad ya had a good laugh. Need to
approach stuff like this with a sense of humour. :)
but you didn’t end up with those flaps of skin on your
butthole? That is what I hear about from my Dad and brother. LOL
Horrible conversation, I know. I
only get the hangers sometimes after I release, but if I use the oakbark cream
after and perhaps the Detralex the day before it seems to shrink enough and
disappear. I think the protrusion is because there's swelling inside and the
inflammation has nowhere else to expand. If you're just starting now I think
soaking seriously in oak bark could compress the intestines enough that it could
heal well, before any permanent damage can be caused. I was told that intestines
generally take a long time to fully heal and get strong again.
I recently got a bad case of the roids... I've been
looking for Oak Bark and all I found was White Oak Bark in pill form... I opened
the pills and put it in the pot and followed your directions... Is that ok? I am
in severe pain... please help
I don't know but try it and let me
know. Or go to the forest and take off scrapings without hurting the tree. That
worked the strongest for me. You need to get the swelling down asap so that it
can start to heal. Ice, cold shower, the oakbark, and once it settles down try
to figure out what is causing it. I recently had problems again and deduced that
it must be the hot green peppers I was gorging on. I did another spell of
research and started chewing my food more, drinking more water, and now I'm okay
again. Once it gets inflamed its a sensitve organ and healing takes time. I'll
upgrade my site with more info I found but I suggest you do a lot of reading on
the internet and gauge yourself. Good luck!
Well, I'm 18 and I think I have one. Well I know I do.
I'm only used Preporation H. I don't really know what to do. I work as a
waitress at a bar. My outfit is very constricting and I'm on my feet for 8
hours. (I got sent home early Yesterday because I was soo uncomfortable.) I
really need to figure out what to do. I know sitting is bad, but I'm more
comfortable sitting then I am standing. Please give me some insite. Thank you
for your time.
Hi Maria, sounds like your problem
isn't because of sitting so much, but rather what you eat and how you release.
Did you read my website? I would suggest you try squatting and softening up your
stool by eating less beef and pork and more fibre and veggies, and chew your
food well down to a pulp and drink lots of water. So it can heal try the oak
bark but don't hurt the tree, cold shower thing etc. to reduce the swelling, so
it can heal. A lot of walking is a problem when there is a cauliflower
protrusion cause it gets constantly squished and aggravated. Good luck!
It was really good to read and learn all about your
experience, especially as I have suffered with them for 5 months now...and it's
driving me crackers! Been taking Horse Chestnut and Butchers broom herbals for 2
months as well as Rutein, garlic and pro biotic capsules. I have 2 sitz baths
daily with Tidmans Bath Sea Salts and 20 drops of Lavender oil and soak for 20
mins. I then douse a tissue in distilled Witch Hazel and wrap it around a
plastic ice cube, from the fridge, and put in "the place" for 15 mins. All
this seemed to be easing my burning discomfort until I was examined by a
consultant 2 wks ago and now I feel I'm back to square 1!! So, I've read your
brilliant report and advice and will go forth to purchase the products that you
claim should help. I'm so so hoping I
have good news soon. Many thanks.
Love the wit to your report.
That's quite the witch's brew
concoction you've tried and I'm curious to hear how mine works out for you!
Hello, thank you for making this available.
One week ago I had
been at a dinner table where I developed some gas during a conversation. I
politely held that in and at a certain point excused myself and went to the
bathroom. Once inside I felt the gas became, somehow trapped inside and stupidly
forced it out. As soon as it came out, I felt something else did as well and
right away checked to see if in fact I'd "sharted". I did not but something
was off and I didn't know what. Two days went by of not being able to move
properly. After some research, I figured I had more than likely caused piles on
to myself.
I am an athlete and
this condition was unacceptable to me, as I've never, ever suffered from
hemorrhoids before. I searched for some non-medicinal solutions and came across
some article that -and here comes stupid mistake #2 - I barely read and thought
it would be smart to apply oregano oil to my rectum, including the inside... I
cannot tell you how much the burning sensation overwhelmed me. So much so, that
I had to lay down and fell asleep for several hours. When I awoke, I found
myself in the same position and a scorched butt.
Please recommend
something I can do that is smarter than what I did...Something that I can eat or
place inside that will heal and cool it down.
Thanks for taking
the time.
Oh, I am male, in
very good condition, 48 years old. I eat very well, drink plenty of water and
keep a relatively healthy lifestyle. Thanks
again, gary
if you haven't taken a crap for a
couple of days you should practically run to the emergency ward at the hospital.
Perhaps wolf down a handful of IBPropin or aspirin to reduce internal
inflammation, and eat a day's worth of leafy salad with ground flax seeds and
fruits and other fibers to totally loosen up your stool. Very unhealthy.
Otherwise read my site in full for other suggestions. I've got other tips I've
picked up and want to add to it but have to finish some big work project first
Good luck, Karel
Karel, Thank you so much for getting back to me.
I have no problem going to the bathroom. I've been doing so
since the onset of this situation and even two or three times per day. The only
problem I have is this burning sensation and the pain that I get when using my
sphincter muscle. As I said, it has been a week since this first began. I
believe that, had I not rubbed in the Oregano oil I would have been healed for
the most part. I have indeed exacerbated my problem by doing
this ridiculous thing... In the days following the oil, I had much difficulty in
moving around and whenever I had to engage the sphincter muscle I would se
stars! Getting up from bed or a chair for example, took quite a bit of time. I
was wondering if drinking aloe vera juice would be helpful. I thought of
actually putting some inside my rectum but was afraid to anything else that
maybe stupid... I have been taking Ibuprofen at intervals during the day as well
as eating very good fibrous foods, water and probiotics. thanks again, gary
Hey, i love your sense of humor, your right sometimes that
is what you need at times like this. But i was wondering, what kind of
concoctions and does the oak bark need to be dissolved or can it still be in
pieces? Let me know asap, thanks!
Just make it like tea. Crumble it in your hand, let it seep
for about half an hour until it become cool enough to dip in, but as hot as you
can handle. Soak for as long as you can tolerate. Also, very important what you
eat, to avoid constipation and inflammation. I'll update the site when i find
the time. Good luck!
Thank you so much!
And i like how you responded right away!
Is your hemmorrhoid completely gone or does it still come back every
couple months if you dont watch what you eat?
Its a never ending problem unfortunately. Intestines are a
maze and takes time to heal. I rode a bike on a hard seat and i guess we're all
getting older...
The thing is i'm only 15 and like you, i've done a lot of
research on it, and hemmorrhoids mainly come in people 50 and older (and
pregnant mothers and obese people) but i'm not none of that, completely normal
just not enough fiber and exercise but i found that hemmorrhoids can come at any
age (not that i needed the internet to tell me that) but they have been better
lately because i've been eating healthier and going to the gym, but i'm just
hoping that this will help me even more.
I've found the amount of salt intake cI've found the amount of salt intake can bring about
difficult dry BM's, bleeding, and extended pain after BM's. Eggs also harden
stools...cutting out eggs from my diet was a major factor in bringing about soft
stools. I haven't found tomatoes to a primary factor...I can eat a tomato in a
salad with no noticeable effect. I've had good results in weight loss and
smaller stool volume by cutting out bread and grains from my diet...most breads
contain salt and eggs. Soy yogurt and pre-digested soy protein seem to help
bring about soft stools. Overdosing on delicious soy butter isn't a good
idea...blood and hard stools...salt in the butter. No rice because it causes
stool clumping. My diet has changed ALOT! Fruits (especially blueberries),
cooked veggies, spinach and lettuce, lots of avacados, salmon (its easy to
pass...but no other meat), soy yogurt, hemp butter, hemp oil, olive oil, fish
oil, water, hemp milk, purple juice, yams. Did I mention no salt?
Cool, thanks, and I'll post it!
Karel
Stay away from Salt!!!! That is, for me, the bottom line. Salt is what
kills us with heart attacks and stroke (high blood pressure). Hemorrhoids
are veins that are inflamed. It reeks havoc on the walls of our blood
vessels and veins and causes inflammation. So, processed meat, cheese,
bacon, bags of chips, can goods unless they specify no or low salt and
even overdoing baked goods (baking soda is big time sodium and baking
powder is also high in sodium), etc. When I figured that out I cured
myself. And if you do slip and have to much sodium take an aspirin to thin
out the blood. I cured my husband as well. As far as the cream and soaking
goes, it only takes care of the short term symptom. Diet is the key. Carol
Hey there I'm 23 and have had the hemroids before but it
just went away in a few days. Now it's back and taking alot longer to get out of
my butt. I'm on the H now but looking to do the oak soak. The reason I comment
is I just bought a bike and all I do is ride. Do bicycles really cause hemeroids???!!!!???
yup, that is precisely how I got it. For that I got a
softer seat and in a bike store some special bike shorts which had a flat pillow
sown in the ass area. I also learned to stand while riding as much as possible
and sit on a butt cheek instead.
hey bro, I like ur
info and the way u explain it, im not sure I have hemoroids tho cus I dont know
the simtoms... but I am bleeding frm my butt 4 almost about a week (not all the
tyme) and I just wanted 2 do some reasearch. it all started wen I took an exlax
and maybe it wus outdated or something cus next morning is wen it started. dey
saying maybe I fukd up my intestine or jus got an infection, but ever since den
I wipe my ass and nun but blood! and da toilet had shit and blood on it.
hopefully w/ some mexican pills it will fix it up if I do hav an infection....
thanks again 4 da info, I got alot of tips incase I do have hemoroids.
Sounds pretty scary man. My guess is you ruptured the
lining of your intestine somewhere and now you got circulating shit and toxins
into your bloodstream. Real bad news. Generally I stay away from any
pharmaceuticals. I always find a way to naturally heal myself. For your case you
should look up "bowel cleanse" on our
intestines you could read my page:
http://001yourtranslationservice.com/me/Health/healthy-intestines-and-healthy-eating.html
Good luck!
I am so excited after reading your article and I am sorry
but this is the only way I could find to e-mail you. My daughter has been
suffering so much with hemorrhoids and wants to try your suggestions but we live
in the United States
and need to know where we can find the Oak Bark Cream and also the Detralex. Of
course she she wants to start yesterday so any info you can give us would be
greatly appreciated. We love your site Christ at Kenax and would love to read
more. Thank you so much for your help
Hi Sheila, on the website I put up some Amazon ads with
links to oak bark - perhaps that will help. When I was last in North America I
could not find anything that you could take orally. Here in
Bulgaria they sell it over the counter without a
prescription, but requires a prescription in Czech.
It has the best and most immediate effect, but the other strategies work too,
although it takes longer. I rarely take detralex now. Important is to eat right
and make sure the stool is mushy soft and not too hard or too runny. Good luck!
Karel

your bum]. I hope this will help someone. Thanks for reading.
Hey, thank you so much for all this invaluable information!
I'm only 24 years old and I've been suffering from hemorrhoids for years! I've
finally decided that I must do something about this constant annoyance. The root
cause of mine seem to be bouts of constipation and diarrhea therefore lots of
straining. I've noticed they also become worse during my period (ladies may
agree with this). I'm gonna start eating more fiber and find a product to
regulate my digestive system. Thanks again..and I really hope I get relief very
soon. This is starting to get scary.
Being mechanical minded, and a retired pipe fitter your thoughts make
sense to me. Will try this approach ASAP.
heh heh, funny comment, but makes sense. Recently I made it a routine to religiously eat one small cup of yoghurt every day and it has proven itself to be a very good routine (in addition to eating mostly vegetables and chewing my food properly, and drink enough water). The poop comes out nice, soft and mushy every time. The bacterial culture helps maintain consistency. Even here in Asia where, without it, my western body has a tendency to suffer diarhea, which itself can also aggravate the hemmies. Either extreme is bad and mushy and soft is good. :)

Did a quick
research on the net and copied an excerpt here:
Collinsonia was used by generations of settlers, Native Americans and eastern nations as a "cure-all" and remedy for treating diseases of the heart, bladder and kidneys. Additionally, it was used in the form of a stimulating medication to treating common lethargy. Collinsonia has also been applied topically as an anti-inflammatory alternative medication. Commonly known as knob root, horse balm and richweed, it has been used traditionally for passive venous congestion. It has the ability to overcome congestion with accompanying pain and irritation within the rectum, throat or other vascular areas.
