Afrikaans
This language, spoken in South Africa, is similar to Flemish, which is 40% Dutch, 40%
German and 20% everything possible. Afrikaans, Ndebele, Northern Sotho, Sesotho
(the Sesotho name for Southern Sotho), Setswana (the Setswana name for Tswana), Swazi
(also known as Siswati), Tsonga (also known as Xitsonga), Venda (also isiVenda), Xhosa
(also isiXhosa) and Zulu (also isiZulu) are 10 of the official languages of South
Africa (the last and eleventh being English). These languages are therefore all
predominantly spoken in South Africa. |
